Travel
Every few months I get a chance to travel. Often a painting trip also serves as a good excuse to visit friends or family. Over the last three years I have been wondering what to do with these "travel" paintings because they are like favorite snapshots out of a memory album. I decided to put them together here in a special page. It gives you a chance to see some of the places I've painted recently.
My identical twin brother, Don, lives in the Bay area of California and I get a lot of painting done while I visit there. I also have paintings from trips to Vermont, Maine, Oregon, Colorado, Utah and New Mexico. Every time I go to these places I see things that call out to be painted. To paint a less familiar location is to really see it. I enjoy painting other places because it gives me a nice break from my normal surroundings.
